Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how IGC Marketing Pty Ltd, trading as IGC Navigation (“IGC”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information in connection with igcnav.com, developer enquiries and accounts, API access and the IGC Fusion services. It applies to information we handle as the operator of these services. If we process personal information solely on a customer’s instructions, that customer may also have its own privacy obligations and policies.

2. Developer account information and API processing

IGC retains developer registration and account details, such as name, email address, organisation and relevant account communications, for developer account management and associated administration. This may include authentication, subscriptions, billing and support. The Services may also process operational information needed to authenticate API requests, operate and secure endpoints, and diagnose technical problems. An API request may contain positioning inputs, but those inputs are distinct from the reusable technical checkpoint records described below. We do not describe individual end-user details or identifiable personal location histories as retained shared checkpoint data.

3. How we use information

We use developer account information to register and administer developer accounts, authenticate API access, manage plans and subscriptions, respond to developer enquiries, provide support and meet related operational or legal requirements. Operational API information may be processed where needed to provide and secure the Services. IGC does not use retained shared checkpoints or markers as records of individual end-user movement histories.

4. Reusable checkpoints and end-user privacy

Creating positioning checkpoints and navigation markers is part of the IGC Navigation API endpoint system. IGC Fusion omits individual end-user details from the checkpoint and marker records it retains for reuse. Subject to developer rights, site permissions and applicable law, IGC may store, validate, combine and make eligible non-personal technical references—including checkpoints, markers, floor references and related navigation coordinates—available to other authorised developers through the platform. These shared references are intended to identify reusable navigation locations, not people or their movement histories. Identifiers must be excluded, and technical references must not be shared if they could reasonably identify a person or reveal restricted or confidential information. Transient processing of positioning data to fulfil an API request is separate from retention of reusable technical references; the treatment of any incidental security or infrastructure logs depends on the actual deployed configuration.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may disclose information to service providers that assist with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, security, support and payment processing, to the extent required for their roles and subject to applicable protections. We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, to address security incidents or as part of a lawful business transaction. We do not treat developer application source code or confidential customer datasets as public shared navigation data. Third-party websites and services reached from our site operate under their own privacy practices.

6. International handling

IGC and its service providers may process information in more than one country. Where personal information is transferred or accessed internationally, we will apply protections required by relevant laws and contractual arrangements. The exact locations and safeguards can depend on the services and providers involved.

7. Cookies and website analytics

Our site or integrated services may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics and preferences. Available browser controls may limit some technologies. Where consent is legally required for non-essential technologies, it should be obtained before those technologies are used. Details of active analytics and cookie tools should be reflected in this policy when their configuration is confirmed.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. Developer account details are retained as needed for account management and associated operational or legal requirements and are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to applicable law. Eligible non-personal technical checkpoints and markers may be retained for continued reuse and improvement of IGC Fusion, including after a developer closes an account, where the developer has authorised this use and no confidentiality, privacy or third-party restriction prevents it. This does not authorise retaining identifiable end-user location histories as shared navigation records. Retention of incidental security or technical logs is governed by their operational purpose, applicable law and the service configuration.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to ask for access to or correction of personal information, raise privacy concerns, object to certain uses, withdraw consent where relevant, or request deletion. Some requests may be limited by legal obligations or the nature of a business customer’s instructions. You can contact us through the contact form at https://igcnav.com/ to make a privacy request. We may need to verify identity before responding. If you are an end user of a developer’s application, you may also need to contact that developer, which determines aspects of the use of your information.

10. Children and high-risk applications

The developer platform is intended for professional and organisational use, not specifically for children. Developers building services for children or for sensitive or safety-critical use cases must meet their own applicable privacy, consent and safety requirements.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as services, data practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be available at https://igcnav.com/privacy-policy.html. For privacy enquiries and complaints, contact IGC Marketing Pty Ltd using the contact form at https://igcnav.com/. We will review concerns and respond as required by applicable law.
