Simon Church · Founder, IGC Navigation and IGC Loyalty
Simon Church is an Australian entrepreneur and technology executive with international experience spanning aviation, logistics, e-commerce, retail technology and software platforms.
His career includes senior commercial and operational leadership, international launches and three business exits. Through IGC Loyalty and IGC Navigation, he is focused on turning complex location technology into practical solutions for businesses and software developers.
IGC Navigation brings together engineering and commercial expertise to develop positioning, navigation and developer infrastructure. Our work prioritises practical integrations and real-world testing over unverified performance promises.
IGC Navigation grew out of a practical challenge in IGC Loyalty: creating engaging real-world treasure hunts, augmented reality experiences and location-based rewards requires more than a pin on a map.
Indoor GPS limitations, multi-level buildings, uncertain heading and floor changes led to work on IGC Fusion, a navigation engine designed to combine available positioning signals.
We made the strategic decision to decouple the navigation platform from IGC Loyalty. That lets developers explore indoor and outdoor navigation capabilities through a standalone API platform, without having to build every underlying positioning component themselves.
Location-based loyalty experiences created a need for more capable indoor positioning and guidance.
IGC Navigation evolves independently from the loyalty application with an API-first architecture.
Teams can integrate navigation tools into retail, venue and location-aware software experiences.
The wider IGC journey combines technology development, international commercial experience and recognition earned by IGC projects. These historical milestones relate to IGC and its earlier products, and are not presented as awards to the IGC Navigation API itself.
The earlier iHunt4 initiative was featured in 2022 retail technology recognition associated with the NRF event.
IGC received a US$50,000 XRPL Grants award to support innovation in location-based technology.
IGC has participated in NVIDIA Inception, a programme supporting technology innovators.
Simon brings experience from three business exits and senior leadership across aviation, e-commerce and logistics, with international business activity in Australia, Europe and Asia.
